Medicine Chest also operates two Durable Medical Equipment businesses. Medicine Chest Pharmacies was founded by Joe Weaver, RPh, a 1974 graduate of Southwestern State College of Pharmacy in Weatherford, OK., and Doug Moore, CPA, a 1975 graduate of Texas Tech University. Joe purchased his first pharmacy in 1976, in Sulphur Springs, TX. This pharmacy continues in operation today as Nelson’s Medicine Chest. While the central office remains in Sulphur Springs, Joe and Doug have expanded to twenty-nine locations in Texas, with plans to continue the expansion. Their focus on fast, friendly, customer service has not changed through the years, and “Making a Difference With Service” continues to be their motto. We are proud of our tradition and our continued growth as we serve our customers with our motto in mind.
